This year, instead of trying to make an unrealistic promise that you will break within the first week, why don’t you think about doing something that is:
- Beneficial to others
- Makes you feel good
Open up a candy store! Just think, all your friends and family would have to break their resolutions to come and support you, and you’d be raking in the cash.
OK, maybe a candy store isn’t the perfect plan, but what you can do is make 2010 the year you volunteer! Listen to the sound of that, it’s such a great idea – it even rhymes!
Ok, I promised 3 steps, so here they are:
- check out the Volunteer Victoria website
- pick a position that you would like to do
- pick a time within the next 12 months that works for you
There are tons of folks in Victoria that can use your help, and would be grateful for your help. Which would you rather do, run 2Km every day or help someone practice their English over a cup of coffee?
Not that hard of a choice – but if you are crazy dedicated, and you really want to choose running over coffee, why don’t you volunteer to be a running partner?
Successful people and successful businesses know that they should give back to the community. Volunteering can get you a mate, a friend, or a job, while you are doing something that you actually enjoy.
If a change is as good as a rest, why don’t you check it out today and plan to do it in the new year?
Check out the site. Register. Schedule the time. Git ‘r done!
