Recently, there has been a lot of talk about social media and how to get started. This may seem like a daunting task, but don’t cheap out. LISTENING is the key. When the time is right, continue by engaging and offering value to the conversation. Some companies have gone the complete opposite direction with disperate flare and caused more harm than anything. Some of my favorite examples are:
1) Pulling on people’s heart strings. The individuals representing the face of companies gained traffic by writing something tragic that recently happened to them.

2) Posting a ridiculous picture that has nothing to do with the brand:
Follow us on Facebook because we like dogs that are dressed up funny!
3) Post an extravagantly untrue title to gain peoples’ attention
EXTRA EXTRA! Recent study determines that eating extreme amounts of beets will make you dress provocatively!
