This logo would work very well for Lobotomy Week.

This logo scares me. I don’t think you should let Lola see it.

From the people who brought you the closing scene of Hannibal?

    > Lobotomy Week! Or as a poster for Hannibal. 🙂

    > Sandy, Lola would think it was ME who did it…that’s how bad it is.

Jack your comment came through as I was posting my response. Great minds etc!

    Or perhaps it’s “empty minds”.

  6. Jack Steinmann October 3, 2011 at 7:40 am #

An empty mind is a clear mind, surely?

  7. Doug Brown October 3, 2011 at 7:45 am #

What was it that Dan Quayle said? “What a waste it is to lose one’s mind, or not to have a mind is being very wasteful, how true that is.”

How true that is apparently at Advertising Week 2011.

And, it was Calvin (he of Calvin & Hobbes) who said,

“His train of thought is still boarding at the station.”

As in, the Republican presidential debates.

    : )

Looking over the events calendar, I’d suspect the budget was blown on speakers fees. Sarah Jessica Parker as one of the presenters on “The Power of the Purse”…pardon me for a moment, my brain just froze up with all the reasons why that is just so wrong.

Anyway, once all the important items were accounted for, they had to take the graphics proposal that came closest to the pennies left over. (All I can say is I’d love to have the muffin/cupcake contract for the thank-you baskets at this gig….)

No kidding huh Moe? Many sessions have 4 or 5 speakers, all C-class power-grippers.

Further to that I have just discovered that the 2011 logo is an updating of the 2010 logo. Which perfectly bears out your conclusion.

    Well done Holmes!

Or MAYBE they just wanted to create a buzz, albeit in the lamest way possible… naah, I’m giving them too much credit. Either the head-honcho’s kid did it, or… I can’t think of any other reason!

I’m going with a copywriter that came up with it Bazz. Someone very much like you or me.

Inspired doubtless by the monkey brain eating scene from Indiana Jones.

Without question Manu. This logo has The Temple of Doom’s fingerprints all over it.
